Incredibly rare original factory sealed copy of Pink Floyd’s 8th studio album released by Harvest Records in March, 1973. This copy is an example of the true 1st US pressing which is practically impossible to find in a such condition. Throughout its existence, this album has been reissued in more than 1000 different versions. Many of these reissues are rare and collectible but not a single one can be compared to the true 1st pressing. Original 1st print cardboard gatefold cover contains a rare hype sticker which leaves no doubts that this factory sealed copy is the true 1st US pressing. The majority of existing stickers that can be found on this album have a configuration that includes the “Printed in U.S.A.” text which appeared on the stickers of later pressings. Early release copies, including the currently listed one, had a round black 2 ⅜” hype sticker without the “Printed in U.S.A.” text affixed to the shrink wrap. The top right corner of the front cover also contains a Sears, Roebuck and Co. sticker as well as a price tag. This factory sealed copy is in amazing condition with the fully intact shrink wrap having the original breathe holes on the front. Just like any other early issue of this album, this copy contains inside a large number of promotional materials, including two posters, one with a pyramid and the other with a photo of the band, and two self-adhesive stickers with the Dark Side of the Moon graphics. Outstanding final upgrade copy in Mint condition with the sharp corners and wear-free edges. The factory shrink wrap has some very light age shelf wear and scuffing but remains fully intact.
