This is the mega rare original UK press of the doom holy grail, Pentagram's self titled LP from 1985. This is the true 1st press on Dutch East India records with the "Porky Prime Cut" etchings in the matrix. (See pics). One of the true legendary records to own from the doom / heavy metal genre, this was later remixed and released as "Relentless" in the early 90's. This version contains the original studio mixes and are not available on any other version of this recording. These rarely come up for sale due to their scarcity and their significance in the history of heavy metal.
The cover has done it's job well, with edge wear, corner wear and some creasing. Spine is difficult to read but it is legible, intact and free from splits. No holes, writing, stickers, marks or other defacing. I would grade this conservatively as VG. Reference the pics for details. The LP has only a few very faint sleeve hairlines that cannot be felt (and are barely visible under bright light) and do not affect play. Clean labels and no writing or marks of any kind. I would grade this hard at EX but not quite NM. Bid with confidence. This record normally sells between $380 and $450 so I'm placing it fairly in the middle of that range.
