  PINK FLOYD ~ Dark side of the moon ~ UK A2/B2 1st SOLID BLUE TRIANGLE 

This a beautiful 1st UK pressing of Pink Floyd's Dark side of the moon,  
issued on Harvest in 1973,  SHVL 804. Initially released with a solid blue 
triangle label, later revised. This copy carries the first A2/B2 matrix, some of 
which had a pressing fault on the track Money, this one plays beautifully.

First pressings are more common than people think, but clean copies are very 
hard to find. There were several variations in the colour, openings, finish and 
text relating to the cover, stickers and posters  respectively.  This copy has very 
light wear to the cover, as shown in the photos, it's black, with both  gatefold 
sides  opening. In certain light you can see some marks on the rear  cover, 
shown in the photos.The  stickers and posters are unused. The posters are 
glossy, (some are matte), the  stickers say permanent on  the reverse (some say 
fasprint or are blank). The labels show  a few spindle trails  on one side, so it has 
been  played a few times. You'll see in the photos  that there's a  mark on the 
side  two  label, it's not wear, it's in t he print from new. The vinyl surface itself 
is  the cleanest we've ever seen. It  looks stone mint in natural  ight, under 
strong  light I eventually found one  very light  and small mark,  barely noticable 
and inaudible.  Otherwise the lack of hairlines or any other  signs of play  is 
amazing. The playback quality is dreamlike,  absolutely lovely sound, a joy to 
listen to. If you've only heard later pressings, you'll be in for a treat, 
there's no comparison. Absolutely guaranteed to please or your money back, 
without quibble.
