ABOUT THIS RECORD: I've asked around, researched , checked out Borderline's database(when it was up)  and elsewhere and have found NOTHING! ZIP! NADA! Here is a completely unknown and GREAT Chicago Teen Garage artifact! Two killer Teen garage attempts at making it BIGGGG!!! Here's what it is: A white & blue label metal/lacquer acetate marked : Universal Recording Corp. 46 E. Walton St Chicago, 11, Ill . Riot is spelled Roit on one side. So you ask:

Is it any good or is this one of those hyped crappy BFTG / Teenage Shutdown Teen Garage records? Heres what I think:

A. Love is a Beautiful Thing - yes The Rascals tune but done punkier,with snottier vocals and farfisa! Very cool. Better than the Quik's version! Little surface noise during quiet opening but not bad!

B. I Feel Good - yes The James Brown tune! Here done punkier and garagier w/ farfisa! Not funkier than JB of course but equally cool. Kinda like Mitch Ryder doing it! Blue Eyed Soulful!

NOTE: I grade using the US grading system so VG+ = EX!!! All records are play-graded and visually graded. My 500+ positive feedback is proof that I am a conservative grader and an honest seller who wants you to be satisfied!  IF I SAY IT PLAYS CLEAN, YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED! DJ’S WORD!

M-: NEW & UNPLAYED. That you can find 60s 45s in this shape 30+ years later is a MIRACLE! DJs dream condition. Buy Now!

VG+ (aka EX): VERY GOOD PLUS means a few/some light scuffs and/or minor marks that do not look bad nor do they affect play much if at all. Many well loved & well kept 45s are VG+.  Fine for DJs.

VG: VERY GOOD means some/many scuffs and/or marks that will affect play but not much. Most well loved and well played 45s are VG.  Still fine for DJs unless noted.

VG-: VERY GOOD MINUS means lots of scuffs, marks and/or light scratches that will affect play but the 45 is still worth keeping & playing until a better copy turns up. Not recommended for DJs. (DJ Note: I’ve heard cleaned up VG- copies played out at clubs and you’d be surprised! Amazing what a thorough cleaning can do for audio-fidelity!)

P: POOR (aka G/Good or F/Fair) To call a record with loads of scuffs, marks and scratches GOOD or FAIR is an OVERSTATEMENT! Poor 45s are just that; Poor looking and Poor playing. Included only due to rarity or as a collection filler.

VG: Well loved, well handled and some creasing, wear & tear.

VG-: Very well handled with lots of creasing, edge wear & lots of wear & tear.
