Description
This auction pains me a little but here an original, incredibly rare debut single of the original Sub Pop Singles club release by Nirvana and available for purchase. Over the last 20 years my nirvana collection has really spiraled out of control and this incredible record needs a new home. This year is the 30th anniversary of the release in November, 1988 and I have been the owner of this single for the last 15+ years.
This history of this single is completely documented. Upon release, LB #757 was part of group of 12 copies that were sent to a Nottingham, UK record shop where the owner was a big fan of the grunge scene. The single was eventually offered and purchased (in an ebay auction) from the record shop in October 2002 (for GBP 461) by Terence Yong of Singapore. After striking up an e-mail friendship with him a few months later, I was able to purchase this LB single directly from him in a private sale in February, 2003.
Since purchase, in 2003, LB #757 has been registered on the most updated Love Buzz Owners List by http://www.nirvana-discography.com/ that was maintained until the end of 2014. Fold-over sleeve is in fantastic shape, looks new with sharp corners with hardly any wear on edges, NM or better. Vinyl has never been played by me and only stored securely as detailed above, NM or better.
