This week: We have a selection of reggae items as we usually do - but this week we also have a very special one-off set of three auctions for Nick Drake's 3 original UK album releases, all first pressings, as given to their owners when they came out.
Absolutely unique and all three are in great condition too!

1969 Island ILPS 9105 ILPS+9105+A3 / ILPS+9105+B3 Vinyl EX- very light scuffs, so that you need to look to see them, shiny and clean. POlays really sweet with just a trace of groove noise and that's more the pressing than the condition NICE copy!! Our auction items are cleaned on a Vpi HW-27 Typhoon Record Cleaning Machine! Labels VG++ trace spindle marks, really quite clean Sleeve etc VG+ custom sleeve a little handling and shelf wear, more pronounced on the top left crner, edges and spne which has a few flecks missing

Original UK 1st pressing on the pink/black 'block' Island labels, with the rougher paper texture and more polished outer rim. Gatefold sleeve with NO printers marks! Rare as hens teeth genuine first issue.

We are selling this rare item on behalf of its owner, along with Nick Drake's two other UK album releases, (note* each one is a seperate auction.)

There is a slightly poignant back-story but it means the heritage of these albums makes them very precious artefacts indeed..!
The owner of the album, Diana Matheou (that is her, holding two of the LPs in the picture above), is to move out of her long-term home in the heart of London's Soho district. In years long gone by, she and her husband Andy ran a folk music club near their flat called 'Les Cousins' which became a must-play venue for many new folk artists from around the world.
Nick Drake and other very well known or yet-to-be discovered famous artists played there, with the likes of Paul Simon, John and Beverley Martyn, Bert Jansch, and many more.
The club closed many years ago and although the couple carried on living in the same Soho residence, that has now ended too. Diana has very reluctantly decided to move these albums along as well.

If you look at the pictures above, a set of three A4 pages are displayed (which will accompany your album) that tell the story, laid out in plain terms by the lady herself. What she hasn't added to that text is this one crucial piece of information:
These albums were given to the owners by Nick Drake himself!! They were gifts to his friends, the Matheou's, owners of the club. As such, they probably have some of his DNA on them! (Well, maybe)... but that's the truth of it, these were Nick's own records!

As such they are an unrepeatable opportunity to own a piece of musical history. We hope you agree!

Payment is by Paypal only! (eBay users without Paypal cannot bid on our items). However you may also come to the Camden Town shop in person.

Please ALWAYS wait for your invoice, especially if you have won multiple items because we may need to calculate the shipping. If you require insurance, please let us know first.
Payment must be completed within 7 days of end of auction (or items may be re-listed). Please contact us before bidding if you cannot do this.
(we can make special arrangements as long as we know what you want!)

Refunds:
We will glady refund where we have made a mistake in the listing such as: Wrong item, item not as described, etc. (We'll need the item back!)
We do not automatically refund for accidental damage or loss in transit.

Feedback:
We can only leave positive feedback (or none) but we think good buyers should receive good feedback.
In return we try to provide the best service and we ask that you leave positive feedback for us if you are happy with our service. Remember it's still voluntary!

Star Ratings:
This is more than just an add-on, it's a method to enforce sellers to trade to eBay standards. Buyers can give sellers marks for 'item as described', 'shipping time', 'shipping cost' and 'communication'.
VERY IMPORTANT Sellers are required to maintain an average of over 4.5 stars for each category. This means that anything less than a 5 star rating actually counts against the seller (though you may not have meant it to). This is not made clear to buyers so that's why we're telling you now.
Shipping cost: Our prices are clearly marked on the table above and you should not have any complaint about that after the sale.
Item As Described: We try our best to make our descriptions accurate but mistakes can happen. We GUARANTEE our items, so if you have any problem we will refund you.
Shipping time: We try to ship on the next available posting day but we are a busy shop and this can't always happen. We will let you know if there is any significant delay. Please take into consideration any public holidays, etc.
Communication: We try to respond immediately but we are a busy shop. The eBay part of our business is conducted OUTSIDE shop hours therefore some communication may be delayed. Please take this into consideration when asking a question or when leaving a rating.
