Description

NICK LOWE
live from the El Mocambo, March 6 1978
CBS stereo 7CDN-1
1978 CBS records Canada.

7" EP plays at 33/3 rpm. 4 songs, Shake & Pop, Heart of The City, I Love The Sound Of Breaking Glass, and Nutted By Reality.

Mega rare pr*mo only Nick Lowe live EP. I guess this came out the same time as the Elvis Costello Live at El Mocambo LP, but in a very limited run.  It only was available here in Canada, but don't think it was ever sold in stores.

The record starts with EC (I think) introducing Nick Lowe as a special guest. The band jams on the intro to "Nutted by Reality" before launching into it. I believe it is the Attractions backing him up. Sound quality of the recording is good, but performances are a bit messy (in a good way!).  Fun to listen to, wish I'd been there to see it live.

This is a super collectible item for all Nick Lowe / Elvis Costello fans. I've never seen another one for sale, or seen one on ebay before. Don't miss out on this rare record!

Paper sleeve is  VG+ condition. Some light creasing to top of sleeve (see picture). Otherwise clean.

Vinyl is in EXCELLENT condition. Clean with gloss. A few light needle marks visible under direct light. Play quality is excellent.
