Description

NICK DRAKE – FIVE LEAVES LEFT – ILPS 9105 –  1969 Vinyl • 1st UK ISLAND PRESSING

1969 stereo recording 1st UK Island pressing, catalogue number ILPS 9105.   Pink label with black circle logo.  Nick Drake’s iconic first album “Five Leaves Left”.   Matrix Nos. ILPS 9105 A/2:  ILPS 9105 B/2.  Gatefold Ernest J Day sleeve.   Tracks 4 and 5 on Side 1, Day is Done & Way to Blue, play in reversed order from sleeve listing.
Disc is in fantastic shiny condition.  Side 1 has a TINY mark on Track 5 which produces 3 ticks; no other visible marks but track 3 has 6 random ticks.   Side 2 has no visible marks but about 6 / 7 random ticks.   Nothing intrusive.  Other occasional random ticks on both sides are VERY faint (and could just be static).  Overall sound quality is great with no background noise.  Gatefold sleeve is intact with average wear and scuffing for its age.  Owner’s name in ink on reverse.      A great example of this collector’s gem.
