NEIL YOUNG Journey Through The Past 1973 UK 1st PRESS MINT

2 LPs w/TEXTURED INNERS & DIE CUT G/F - ONCE PLAYED

NEIL YOUNG
Journey Through The Past (Sound Track)

UK REPRISE (K 64015) FIRST PRESSING (January 1973) OF NEIL YOUNG'S DOUBLE LP SOUNDTRACK TO HIS FILM 'Journey Through The Past'
IN SUPERB CONDITION - ONCE PLAYED - DELIVERING FLAWLESS SOUND THROUGHOUT

Most soundtrack albums don't really contain the soundtracks to movies as they sound and as they are edited for the screen -- a song heard in a snippet on a car radio in the film, for example, will be presented in its entirety and with good sound on the album.
But the soundtrack to Neil Young's fantasy/documentary 'Journey Through the Past' does contain an audio record of what's actually on the screen: songs are cut off or fade out, to be replaced by fragments of something else - a mixture of TV recordings of Buffalo Springfield, live tapes of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, rehearsal recordings of the Harvest sessions, and news clips.
A fascinating and idiosyncratic document from Neil Young - and a real journey through his past

PRESSED WITH THE FIRST ISSUE DARK TAN AND GROOVED REPRISE LABELS (with no WB logo and 'Made in UK' credit)

LABELS: MINT-
Clean, bright and unmarked labels - two sides have one spindle traces, two sides have none
VINYL Visual: MINT-
All four sides shine like new and are unmarked apart from one superficial hairline on the edge of Side Four (incredibly minor and of no audio significance)
VINYL Audio: MINT
This is a strange (but impressively constructed) LP of impressionistic fragments from Neil Young's musical journey which all flow together without a break. The actual recorded quality on the two records varies from track to track depending on which sound source has been used (TV, radio, studio etc.) but the audio delivery is outstanding in every respect and my play-check at loud volume revealed no audible distractions of any kind. All four sides are beautifully clean and the whole set plays like new
SLEEVE: MINT-
The original fold-out 'pocket' gatefold cover is also in superb condition - clean and unmarked with none of the common ring-wear found on this cover. In fact, it's practically as-new with no surface rubbing and no storage wear worth a mention and a crisp, sharp, thick spine with all text clear and bold
INNER SLEEVES: MINT
Both textured inners are clean, unmarked and practically untouched with no seam splits

ALL RECORDS ARE PACKAGED WITH THE VINYL OUTSIDE OF THE SLEEVE TO PREVENT ANY 'KNIFING' DURING TRANSIT
A PROTECTIVE POLY SLEEVE, NEW INNER SLEEVES WITH ANTI-STATIC LINERS, QUALITY BOX (NOT ENVELOPE) MAILER AND AMPLE STIFFENERS ARE ALWAYS USED TO ENSURE THAT YOUR RECORD ARRIVES SAFELY
