KINKY LOVE / SHE PLAYED PIANO AND HE BEAT THE DRUMS ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by NANCY SINATRA arrangements by AL CAPPS studio engineer LENNY ROBERTS produced by SNUFF GARRETT. Original US pressing on the PRIVATE STOCK label (PS 45 075), from 1976. Cult and obscure, late single by the iconic singer / actress and daughter of Frank Sinatra. Features the infamous KINKY LOVE theme, once banned by certain radio stations due to sexual innuendo in the lyrics. Seductive lead vocals / silky harmony backing and whispering scat over groovy rhythms with a lightly stoned and mellow mood. Trippy wah wah / e-piano / understated beats and beautiful orchestrations. A totally different musical direction with lounge / sunshine pop and soul influences. Seldom comes up for sale in near archive condition, like this copy. Rare 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is close to shiny M- condition with a few light hairlines from sleeve removal. Some light surface noises. Taken from an unplayed deadstock of records and played once for the recording of the soundclip. Small pen notation to labels (see scan images). Record housed in Private Stock custom label sleeve. Archive number to top corners (front and back). Light wear and creasing from storage. Rare 45!!!
