Muddy Waters Folk Singer UK Pye Piccadilly NPL 28038
Matrices LP 12038 A 1M and B 1M
The record is graded vg+. It is flat and very shiny. There are a couple of small marks visible in daylight but they do not detract from the sound. Under a bright light there are a few more wispy lines, again making no difference to the sound. There is a little very light crackle audible in the run ins (and just about audible in quiet passages), but again nothing that actually interferes with the music. There are, of course, no sticks, jumps or loud pops.
The labels are excellent. They have some spindle marks but are otherwise as new with no writing, stickers, tears etc.
The cover is graded ex-. It is clean and very tidy. There is a little light brown foxing to the rear but nothing very noticeable. The flaps are clean and intact. There is very little corner wear and no edge wear. This is a nice cover.
The orignal Pye inner sleeve is graded ex-. There is a little light foxing in places but otherwise this is in superb condition with little of the ruffling/creasing one would expect.
All in all this is a very nice copy of a classic lp.
