Description
MISTRESS MARY
HOUSEWIFE
AFTON CO.
1
1969
MISTRESS MARY, a self-confessed CA "housewife" and "artisté" (her spelling) who did a nice-looking & very charming 1969 vanity press of country-rock, although most of it sounds closer to mid-60s femme-voice folkrock and pop, like a home-made Neighb'rhood Childr'n... amazingly enough she recruited Roger McGuinn and the BYRDS to provide the backing on a couple of tracks, "And I Didn't Want You" and "Country Boy"
