Up for sale is a 33 rpm Record titled Mischa Elman Plays Tchaikovsky and Wieniawski. It is on the RCA Victor Record Label, Record Number: LM-1740. Record is in Very Good condition (see descriptions below) and plays through. Cover is in very good condition.   NOTE: I am aware that this is a relatively rare record, even after checking other websites I can only find the copy currently listed on Ebay for $300. I am starting the auction MUCH lower than that, without a reserve, because I DO hear some "clicking" in some areas which I know lowers its value. It is an opportunity for someone to acquire this rare gem at a more reasonable price
Record Condition Issues: Some light scratches that can be heard with a light "clicking" sound - not constant but affects various cuts. I believe that there were 2 bands on each side that were affected (Side 1 has 7 bands, Side 2 has 5 bands). Please see photos.   Paper Sleeve Issues: NO paper sleeve.
Record Cover Issues: Light wear to edges and corners. Soiling to back of cover. See Photo.  While I am NOT a professional rater of records, I do still own a rather extensive record collection and know the difference between a record that can be enjoyed and one that should be discarded.  I have "borrowed" from other Ebayers a rating system that I will use. Quite simply I look at the record under very bright light noting any surface scratches or markings. If I see any potential problems, I put the record on my player and play it! If it skips or sounds "fuzzy" I will either discard it or if it is a particularly rare item, rate it FAIR and list specific problem areas.  If when played I hear only an occasional click or static sound, it is in the GOOD range (I'm never sure if these are caused by my VERY old speakers or the record itself).  Records that play fine even with visible surface scratches can be judged EXCELLENT.      RATING SYSTEM:    MINT (Mint) Like New, Clean, Spotless, Pristine, usually sealed; however, occasionally I do run across unsealed LPs in MINT condition

NM (Near Mint) - No marks or scratches, should play perfectly

EX (Excellent) - A few visible marks and or scuffs that cannot be felt and that do not usually affect sound

VG (Very Good) - Some light marks that may occasionally affect the sound but the LP is, for the most part, excellent.

G (Good) - Some marks or wear that may affect the sound but will not be seriously distracting.

F (Fair) - Playable, but you will see more obvious marks that will effect the listening experience, but still listenable   Questions? Please email prior to bidding so you are not disappointed as all items are sold AS IS and are NOT returnable.

SHIPPING will be via Media Mail. I will ship this flat between cardboard.  If that is NOT acceptable please let me know prior to bidding so I can provide a shipping cost for the method you want. Thanks for looking at my auctions!

Payment is due WITHIN 3 DAYS of purchase. Exceptions can be made if advance notification is given. I prefer Paypal or If you don't have a PayPal account, you'll be automatically redirected to a secure page in eBay checkout where you can enter your credit or debit card information.

USPS is my preferred shipping method but I can usually honor requests for other methods. Please ASK about other methods prior to bidding so I can give you the estimated cost. Thanks.

HANDLING: I do add 50 cents to all orders to help defray the cost of delivery confirmation and shipping supplies such as padded envelopes, bubble wrap, tape, paper, etc. That is NOT sufficient to cover my expenses but I'm trying to keep my shipping costs down. Also note that ALL first class shipments are classified as packages and charged at the package rate to qualify for delivery confirmation. A 1 oz. first class package starts at $1.22 not $.44. If you believe you were overcharged for shipping please check the shipping label and let me know. I am trying my best to be a 5 star seller. Thanks.
