Description

Prestige 7064, “Cookin’ with the Miles Davis Quintet” with Red Garland, John Coltrane, Paul Chambers and Philly Joe Jones, from 1957. This is a DG Bergenfield pressing. The vinyl plays at VG++ with occasional light ticks that are not audible from a distance. There is a slight warp in the vinyl that is visible at eye level, but not from above; it does not seem to have any effect on the sound. The laminated jacket is about VG+ with solid seams all around but with some laminate loss and cracking on the upper seam - but not exactly seam splitting. There is minor corner wear. The jacket back is clean with no writing or stamps. Numbers are “Tune Up”, “Airegin”, “Blues by Five”, “Just Squeeze Me”, and “My Funny Valentine”. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $18.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 additional within U.S. and Canada, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $11.75 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
