Description

Finally I decided to sell my pristine copy of the famous Michele Auclair record "Discophiles Français DF 209/210" (2 Lps), one of the rarest and most sought after French violin records.

The six Bach sonatas  for violin and clavier are performed by Michèle Auclair (on her Guarneri del Gesu from 1732) and Marie-Claire Alain, playing on the organ "Haerpfer-Erman" in Deauville, France.

This record is a heritage of my father, who was a great admirer of classical music.  He purchased quite often a "reserve copy" of his favorite records.  My mother was always upset about this "senseless expenses", since records have always been expensive. Today I consider, once again, that my father was a wise man.

The DF209-210 for sale is this reserve copy, both records look unplayed (virgin spindle holes) and I do not dare to try it.
First, this record is way too precious, I would prefer to clean it with a record cleaning machine first and secondly, I would prefer to have a completely new stylus.

Due to perfect storing conditions, the sleeve is near mint. If you ever had a "Discophile Francais" gatefold sleeve in your hands, then you know about their unique feeling, even after 40 years.
