MUDDY WATERS FOLK SINGER UK Pye Mono 1964 1st ISSUE BLUES Buddy Guy Willie Dixon
Muddy Waters Folk Singer.
Scarce early LP featuring Muddy in an acoustic only setting, with Buddy Guy, Willie Dixon and Clifton James.1964 England pressed Pye Records International R&B series mono LP, NPL 28038.
Earliest heavyweight pressing with red and yellow labels and 1M/1M matrix suffixes.
Vinyl visually a strong VG plus. Surfaces are still highly glossy but display some light scuff marks and gentle scratches, these few in number.
Playback is a strong VG. An occasional soft tick and some low level crackle but this infrequent and much plays EX. The surfaces are underlyingly quiet and there are no loud or consecutive ticks.
Labels are clean and unmarked.
Inner sleeve is a clean new replacement.
External front laminated sleeve with visible rear backflaps top end VG plus/near EX with no issues of note. Clean and bright with just a fraction of toning and age tanning to matt white rear panel. Small single red marke pen line to rear at left edge, unobtrusive. Edges intact with just a very small and contained surface split to centre of spine.
