II on the EMI label click here to hear the record! Mr. Morse and His New Alphaband, S.O.S., I'm In Love, SC 006 - 18246, Italy. Year of release is 1977. This is a listing for a beautiful near mint copy of this sensational dancer that is sweeping the globe. The record was released in Italy, and it has become quite popular partly because it was never released in the United States. I acquired it from a DJ collection of about 1,000 Northern Soul, Modern Soul, and Disco 45's, most of which were from the 1970's, with some late 60's and early 80's sprinkled in. What it was doing here in the United States is a surprise in itself. The record visually and play grades near mint but has just a tad bit of noise at the beginning of Side 1 (Kindly listen to the sound bytes). This could be a result of a pressing quality limitation. The record is made of vinyl and not styrene and is cosmetically quite attractive. The record has the notable ribbed ridge perimeter surrounding the labels. The record does not come with the picture sleeve, but it does have a cool, neat Italian EMI company sleeve that is of the thick paper style commonly used in Mainland Europe. The sleeve is in VG++ condition. The A side label has the S.I.A.E. seal on it. When you hear the sound byte you will catch on both sides the predominant Morse code sound that Mr. Morse was known for! If you listen carefully, you will receive by wire a "singing telegram!" The record was play graded on an audiophile system employing Basis Ovation, Graham Industries, Transfiguration, Sound Applications, and Jeff Rowland electronics and componentry. SE HABLA ESPANOL, ON PARLE FRANCAIS, FALA-SE PORTUGUES, E SI PARLA ITALIANO, in that respective order of proficiency!-------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FOR BIDDERS WITHIN THE UNITED STATES: Satisfaction is guaranteed on a money back basis with postage BOTH ways. Domestic buyer assumes responsibility for $7.50 charge for insured first class mail with a delivery confirmation. Insurance and delivery confirmations are required for all domestic shipments. Payments made with these charges subtracted will not be accepted. Only professional packaging materials are used for shipping, and all items are shipped securely and with filler pads; yet, you will not risk damage to the contents because the packaging is too difficult to undo. My packages are easy to open once you start the process, and you will not need a butcher knife or terrorist box cutter to do it with! Your record and all inserts will be shipped outside the cover. Due to increases in fraudulent PayPal transactions and resultant chargebacks, items paid for through PayPal will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. I generally always ship on the date I receive cleared funds or within one day thereafter. Personal checks require a hold of ten business days for clearance. All domestic sales must be paid for within seven days of an auction's end. If you do not pay online, and your mail service as a sender is slow, don't bother bidding!----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------FOR BIDDERS OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES (PAYPAL PAYERS SEE ALSO SECTION BELOW): Uninsured Airmail Letter Post is used for international shipping due to its popularity. Rates are as follows: Canada, Mexico, and Caribbean $6.00; South America $8.00; Europe $9.00; Asia, Africa, and Australia $10.00. Due to the high cost of related shipping, satisfaction is guaranteed on a money back basis exclusive of shipping costs. No guarantees can be made for safe delivery, or delivery at all, for that matter, for international shipments that are not sent by insured mail. If you would like insured mail, please e-mail me for rates. The cost for registered mail is an additional $8.00. Registered mail will still not protect you against loss in the mail although it will greatly minimize your risk. With registered mail there is automatically a maximum indemnity amount of $44.86 which is set by international treaty. If the plane carrying your record crashes, you will not be covered for any portion of your loss in excess of $44.86 unless you purchase insurance! The charges stated for international transactions include the fee for a Certificate of Mailing, which is validated and canceled by the United States Postal Service and provides evidence that I have mailed an article to you. It does not prove what contents are inside, but presumably, if I sent you anything other than your record, you would know it! Also included is a modest charge to cover the additional time and energy required for international transactions, such as correspondence, customs declarations, translations, etc. Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Italian are spoken. Shipping rates are not negotiable! I do not enjoy paying them any more than you do. Please consider when you bid that your shipping costs are part of your total purchase price. Surface mail outside the United States will not be considered. I do not want your record dragged along the ocean floor! Feedback on eBay can only be posted for 90 days. Transactions that involve surface mail have insufficient time during which problems can be resolved that might influence feedback either way. Cash (currency) is acceptable for international transactions but must be sent by registered mail unless otherwise mutually agreed upon. Virtually all online payment services are available. I generally always ship on the date I receive cleared funds or within one day thereafter. All international sales must be paid for within fourteen days of an auction's end. No exceptions!-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------FOR ALL INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS PAYING WITH PAYPAL: All sales of $40 or more paid for through PayPal require the use of registered mail at an additional cost of $8.00. PayPal, under its Buyer Protection Program, covers all buyers with protection from loss or damage in the mail or wrongdoing by a seller. For a total loss PayPal pays the full amount a buyer has paid a seller including all shipping charges and subtracts a $25.00 processing fee. Up to three claims may be processed per year for up to $1,000.00 per claim. Under the program, PayPal recommends that sellers use an online trackable method for shipping, e.g. registered, insured, or express mail to avoid chargeback. If mail is lost, PayPal also requires that the seller provide evidence of mailing AND delivery in order to avoid chargeback. If your claim is paid, PayPal removes the funds from the seller's account immediately. Accordingly, in substance, by accepting your PayPal payment without a disclaimer, I am the one who is really providing you with the protection and not PayPal. If the plane carrying your record crashes, without a disclaimer PayPal will pay you, and I will be charged back. If you wish coverage for loss or damage in the mail, you must purchase insurance to obtain it. If you would like such insurance, please e-mail me for rates. I SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM ALL LIABILITY FOR UNINSURED LOSSES INCURRED THROUGH AND AS A RESULT OF THIRD PARTY CARRIERS! Registered mail is the most practical and safest method to protect against loss in the mail (although it will not guarantee or necessarily prevent it). In practice, it will also likely reduce the risk of damage. Your record must kept under lock and key continually whilte en route and must be signed for by every employee who handles it. If your sale is for less than $40, you are not required to use registered mail, but you must still purchase insurance to be protected against loss or damage in the mail. If your record is lost or damaged in the mail, you cannot file a claim with PayPal unless you purchase insurance. I CANNOT PROVIDE PROTECTION UNDER PAYPAL IF MY RIGHT TO RECOVERY IS BARRED! Please remember that I obtain certificates of mailing for all international shipments. The certificate of mailing proves that I have mailed an article to you. Although the contents are not described, if I were to send you anything other than your record, you would know it! An image of this certificate or the original certificate itself can always be furnished to you upon request. Realize that PayPal's Buyer Protection Program is an excellent means for insuring your record. However, you must pay for the cost of insurance in order for me to provide it. I will consider waiving the registered mail requirement upon request, but we must both agree to it. Any decision will be based on the particular circumstances related to a specific listing.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SPECIAL RULES FOR WHO MAY USE PAYPAL: Those who are new to eBay (or who haven't used it in a long time) and those with private feedback may not be permitted to use PayPal. Unauthorized international PayPal transactions are charged back to sellers. Feedback is used to verify your purchasing history. You may have an excellent eBay feedback rating and demonstrated creditworthiness for PayPal purposes, but that doesn't mean that you are the one who is using your accounts! The issue is one of identity. It is totally possible that an eBay or PayPal account holder does not know what a vinyl record even looks like! Yet, the person using such account holder's identity may know! If your identity is stolen, it will be unlikely that the thief responsible will also be a collector of vinyl records. That person will likely purchase merchandise with your account that you are not accustomed to buying. I must see a pattern for purchasing records more than 60 days prior to an auction end. If your feedback is private, you may be able to provide me with a sufficient number of completed listing numbers for listings 60 to 90 days (Older listings may no longer be saved in eBay's database) or give me the user code names of sellers who by their name are obviously vinyl record sellers who have posted feedback for you at any time prior to 60 days before an auction end. You may also temporarily publish your feedback in order for me to review it and then change it back to private status after I have done so. This can all be done in a matter of a few minutes if we are both able to communicate by e-mail at the same time. THESE RULES ARE SO THAT I MAY GET PAID AND STAY PAID! Kindly accept my apologies for any inconvenience. Other sellers may not have such strict rules because they may be unaware of their exposure to PayPal chargebacks. If you think you may not qualify to use PayPal, kindly bid assuming that PayPal will not be possible and do not be offended if a request to use PayPal is not granted. BidPay, now with lower rates, or international money orders may also be used as means for payment.
