PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
Your eyes do not deceive you. Only one copy of this mythical garage punk Nugget has ever come up for sale. That was 8 years ago. It sold for $1,878.00. Now you have the chance to own this holy grail again. Not the San Francisco band of the same name (whose Mr. Pharmacist is equally deserving of praise), these guys were from right here in the Windy City on the massively collectible Orlyn label. Do a quick search of just the label name on Popsike and you'll be amazed. Snarling, snotty and dripping with attitude, this Gloria-meets-I'm Not You're Stepping Stone monster was the shape of punk to come. The scorching guitar fills between every lyric and the middle solo are the stuff that gets fans of 1960s garage punk hot under the collar and make this 45 more than deserving of every accolade and hyperbole ever bestowed upon it. Don't sleep Nuggets collectors. The chances of a third copy surfacing any time in the next decade are slim to none. The A-side is G visually with lots of light scuffs and 2 or 3 small scratches that can be lightly felt but listen to the sound clip and hear how nicely it plays. The flip has a scratch that can be felt more prominently but the B-side is a lame, shmaltzy stroll best forgotten. The true mega-star here is the legendary, blistering A-side. Long live 1960s garage punk.
