Up for auction is a rare copy of Miles Davis' "Kind Of Blue" by Classic Records, 33 RPM/45RPM 2 LP set, 180 gram vinyl, released in this audiophile version in 1995. Gatefold cover. The first release of its kind, and long out-of-print. Disc One is the complete original recording as it was released in 1959. Disc Two Side One contains the album remastered by Bernie Grundman in the correct speed for the first time ever. Side Two includes the only existing outtake from the session, "Flamenco Sketches," also remastered at 45RPM. Condition: I would describe this copy as close to New as you can probably get. I bought this album when it was brand new almost twenty years ago. I opened the seal on it, but I don't recall ever playing it. It has been stored in a protective sleeve since then. The cover shows no signs of wear or use. One corner is ever so slightly bumped, but it was that way when I bought it. Otherwise it looks pristine. The vinyl discs are beautiful, and still have static cling to them when you pull them out of the sleeves. This would make a beautiful addition to anyone's audiophile album collection.
