Led Zeppelin - I
This exceptional copy of Led Zeppelin's second studio album is a UK 1st pressing with the much sought after Turquoise lettering sleeve.
The vinyl is a true first pressing with uncorrected matrix numbers and Superhype publishers credit for songs A1, A2, A4 & B1, B2, B3, B5.
This vinyl is housed with the original first variant sleeve which has turquoise text for the name of the band and the Atlantic logo and a light grey strip along the bottom edge of the front. The turquoise sleeve was extremely short-lived as the label considered the colour to be at odds with the heavy sound of the band.
Condition:
Vinyl: VERY GOOD +
Labels: EXCELLENT
The labels are bright and clean without writing. Only very light spindle marks can be seen to all four sides.
Visual: VERY GOOD
Visually the vinyl surface has a deep gloss factory finish. In bright daylight several light surface marks are present to all sides.
Sound Quality: VERY GOOD +
The audio is superb! There are quiet lead-ins to all sides and only subtle static in between tracks. There are no skips or jumps. Dazed and Confused sounds awesome! Overall, a really enjoyable listening experience.
Sleeve: VERY GOOD +
The extremely rare sleeve looks great. Both front and rear are clean, bright and with a deep-gloss finish. There iare several laminate ripples to the front sides and a worn area from what looks like the removal of a sticker.The spine shows signs of use. The top, bottom and opening edges show only subtle wear. The corners are strong with just very mild wear. A great example of an extremely rare sleeve.
Inners: Very Good +
The original inner sleeve look great. It is clean, without rips or tears and with just subtle creasing.Also included in the sale is an audiophile quality, anti-static inner sleeve to help protect and preserve the fantastic record.
This record will be sent via an insured courier in a padded vinyl mailer.
