Description
Though they remain largely unknown, Michael Raven and Joan Mills made some of
the most distinctive folk music ever recorded.
Their debut album titled ”DEATH&the LADY” has been just re-pressed on VINYL for RSD2018. Here
is a genuine UK 1st press VINYL of 2nd “Hymn to Che Guevara”
originally pressed only 100 copies in 1974.
Housed in a quite thin matt single SLEEVE with striking b&w portraits of lovely JOAN.
Musically i'ts a sublime female acid folk presents great fragile sound accompanied by
virtuoso acoustic guitar all tracks and violin at times
Her voice is pure and haunting throughgout and easily comparable with JUNE TABOR
or MADDY PRIOR at the golden era of UK FOLK.
The COVER/FRONT shows creasing here&there along edges and beginning of ringwear,
while the BACK has not any noticeable defects except a few micro tears (see photo),
The opening edge is straight&sharp, SPINE TEXT is fully legible And edges/corners rubbed really minimum.
The VINYL looks beautiful NEAR MINT with very few paper scuffs,
plays fantastic with only passing&slightest surface noise.
CONDITIONS: SLEEVE / EX(+) overall : there is no SPLIT,RIP,WRITING and WAVING (waterdamage)
LABEL / EX+ : 5-6 SPINDLE MARKS on each side under bright bulb A taped STICKER on Side1
