Description

Leo Nadelmann ( January 16, 1913 Biel – December 14, 1998 Zürich / Switzerland ) Studied piano and composition at the Conservatorium in Basel under Walter Müller von Kulm, and with Artur Schnabel and Rudolf Serkin in Berlin. Later studies with Alexander Brailowsky and Raoul Koczalsky. Career since 1927, travelled trough Europe and America. 1960 an illness on his left hand end his career as pianist. He continued as composer, autor educationist and leader oft he music departement on the Swiss TV. In 1944 he made 4 records for HMV ( 3 recordings on 12 inch and 1 on 10 inch ). His daugther is the famous soprano Noëmi Nadelmann.

1 = mint, never played on gramophone, is not used

1-2 = top copy, no traces of use - virtually as new

2 = excellent copy, few light non-sounding rubs/marks

2-3 = light traces of wear (rubs/marks), very light greying and/or light scratches, non sounding blemishes

3 = a good average copy with more noticeable rubs and marks; light greying, few light scratches possible

3-4 = more traces of use, sonic wear from light greying. An inferior average copy, light scratches possible

4 = some sounding wear, heavier rubs and marks, scratches possible

5 = obvious sounding wear, heavy rubs, marks, scratches. An unsatisfactory copy.
