KENNY DORHAM - QUIET KENNY LP - ORIGINAL US PRESSING ON NEW JAZZ RECORDS - NJLP 8225.
On offer is the original US pressing of the quite wonderful iconic 1959 LP from Kenny Dorham - what a fantastic listen!
A quick note: I grade strictly to the UK Record Collector's guide. Handling records is very much part of my day job and you can certainly bid with confidence. This record will be extremely securely packaged (the record out of the sleeve as to prevent seam splits). I do not use Ebay's weird shipping 'programme' - I must be provided with a full shipping address - otherwise the order will be cancelled.
The Record
The record is presented in superb Ex+ condition. This should be your final copy! Visually, there are only a couple of extremely faint, minor and wispy markings - only really spotted when holding the record into a much brighter light source. The audio (tested on a Linn LP12 using Ortofon 2M cartridge, Shibata stylus) is brilliant. Such an amazing album should be listened to! From start to finish the sound reproduction is mesmerising, with only very low surface noise between tracks/in the extreme 'pianissimo' sections. Absolutely no skips/jumps/unwanted pops or clicks - just pure joy..The record has been professionally cleaned.
The Sleeve
The sleeve is in well presented VG condition. A solid example, there is some light edgewear, a small 'NJLP' sticker on the reverse with a 'start' of a seam split along the top edge. The laminate on the front is in very clean order.
Matrix/run-out : NJLP 8225-A 8J etched & NJLP 8225-B 8J etched, RVG machine stamped both sides.
