Description

Up for your consideration is a very rare, original copy of 'Concierto Para Piano En Tercios De Tono / Concierto En Cuartos Y Octavos De Tono Para Violonchelo' ((Piano Concerto In Third Tones / Concert In Quarter And Eighth Tones For Cello)) composed by Julian Carrillo. Performed by Orquesta Sinfonica Lamoureux.
Amazing avant garde, microtonal, modern classical compositions and execution. When it comes to microtonal composition Carrillo was possibly the first, (best) and most seminal figures.
Released by: Sonido 13 - 1965 - (Private Press)
These LPs were released as private pressings I believe, although they were originally recorded by Philips in France. I've only come across 1 LP actually released by Philips, most others were through Sonido 13 which was solely dedicated to Carrillo works.

Condition
Sleeve: G+/VG-Overall fairly decent condition. Moderate signs of handling/storage wear, a few bumps, mild ringing, rubbing (worst on spine) and light creasing, a small yellow sticker on the rear but still holding together very well.
Vinyl: VG?Very nice condition overall. Pretty hard to grade this. It looks great, very clean and shiny, almost like new. A few very small marks visible to the eye, but no scratches I can see. There is a slight warp to the disc but to my ears it doesn't interfere with the playback at all. There is some noticeable surface noise or static which I have found is common on all the Sonido 13 LPs I have. It may well just be down to age and storage prior to my owning them, and it's possible that a good record cleaning system may knock it out. Nevertheless this is still an extremely enjoyable and listenable record. As John Peel once said - "Somebody was trying to tell me that CDs are better than vinyl because they don`t have any surface noise, I said, "Listen mate, life has surface noise."

Please note, I'm not a professional record dealer and item listed is second-hand so kindly take that into account before deciding to place a bid. I strive to make the descriptions as fair and accurate as possible, but if you are exceptionally fastidious and/or are looking for 'perfect' condition in an item then it's perhaps best not to bid on this auction. That said, I've sold numerous items on Ebay and have always had very happy buyers, so please do bid with confidence!
