Thank you for viewing my auctions. I sincerely appreciate the interest and kind comments made about me and my collection in the feedback section. It feels good to know that you share my passion regarding the 50's and 60's and the music that changed the world, forever. It was a blessing for me to be a teenager during the early 50's, listening, dancing and Bopping to the the best of the best.
I have one of the largest and most loyal Asian and European Clientele on Ebay and I sincerely appreciate the loyalty and interest. Over 40% of my rare albums have been shipped to the following countries: AUSTRALIA, AUSTRIA, BELGIUM, CANADA, CROATIA, DENMARK, ENGLAND, FINLAND, FRANCE, GERMANY, ISRAEL, ITALY, JAPAN, MALAYSIA, NETHERLANDS, NORWAY, RUSSIA, SLOVAKIA, SOUTH KOREA, SPAIN, SWEDEN, SWITZERLAND AND THAILAND, with the remaining being purchased in the UNITED STATES.Most of the albums you will be viewing are from my 50+ year old collection and are original issues. Sometimes I include albums given to me or purchased from friends or relatives. I do not go to swap meets, garage sales, or thrift stores. I do go to record conventions as time permits. You will be bidding for very rare, original issue and quality albums. Sometime I will list rare re-issues or later pressings. They will be stated as (re) in the listing. I use Goldmine Standard Catalog as a grading guideline and tend to be conservative.

GRADING GUIDELINES!
(NM or NM-) NM records are shiny with no visible defects such as writing, stickers or needle marks on the labels. The album cover should have no creases, folds, seam splits or any signs of human handling. It also will have no ring wear.
(VG+) or (Excellent) May show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Minor signs of handling are OK. The cover might be marred by a cutout marking, small hole punch, a cut in the spine or a promotional stamp and even a tiny bit of ring wear.
(VG) Have more obvious flaws such as lack of gloss, groove wear, light scratches and needle marks. When played there will be surface noise that will not overpower the music overall. Noise in the passages, between songs is common. The cover may have minor seam splits, writing, tape, stickers, ring wear and scuffs.
(VG-) Is just a compounding of the VG category. Many obvious flaws but if the record is rare, may very well be worthwhile. I usually do not list records lower than the above grades.
Remember, when you are bidding, most of these records are usually 50+ years old and have been out of print for a very long time. When you consider that, damage, loss, and normal use or wear has reduced the market to the point that few of these wonderful treasures are even available today.

FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION; Johnny Otis is a living legend and a lifelong friend to all R&B performers, past and present. His influence has made a huge difference regarding today's perception of those early years of the 50's. I encourage those who are not aware, to read his Bio, it is fascinating. I purchased his first pressing of Johnny Otis Rock 'N Roll Hit Parade, Volume one when it hit the music stores in 1957. The Album Cover was Gold with Pink Labels. In 1958, a Yellow Album Cover version was released, which I also have. They are most rare and very difficult to find in any condition. The 1957 Gold Album is valued for $900+ NM and the 1958 Yellow Album $600+ NM in the Goldmine Price Guide.
You are bidding for one of the rarest albums I have ever known, and yes, I do have more than one copy, one is the same as the one your bidding for, the others is solid Red Vinyl. Both are new, never played. I acquired them at a Record Convention in Sacramento, California when we lived there in the 70's. The collector/vendor said he knew Johnny Otis and some of the band members. The vendor had several Johnny Otis Albums and I purchased as many of them as I could afford.
The album you are bidding for is Johnny Otis Rock 'N Roll Hit Parade, Volume One. The thick, Gold Album Cover is in wonderful condition and will be in a class of its own in your Music Room. There are no seam splits, discoloration, ring wear, tape, tears, writing or wrinkles, just some scuffs on the bottom front of the cover. The liner notes, including detailed information and group photo in back are like new and no discoloration.
The Multi-Colored Record is breathtaking and the Pink Labels are MINT, no spindle marks, just a couple of microscopic checks from labeling at the factory. I inspected this beauty under my 100 watt light and there were no scratches, scuffs or groove lines, just a few feathery, light surface lines/paper cuts from removing the record from the thick sleeve. I played the record just prior to listing and there were no skips, sticks, pops or hisses. It was like listening to a new record. The songs include; Side 1,
Honey Love, Sh-Boom, Earth Angel, Gee, Sincerely, The Midnight Creeper. Side 2, At My Front Door (Crazy Little Mama), Long Tall Sally, Only You, One Mint Julep, Hey Hey Hey Hey, Please Don't Leave Me.
Using the Goldmine Price Guide, the Album Cover is graded VG++, the quality of the listening experience NM and the record NM. I have not put a reserve on this Mona Lisa of Collectibles, but it is my sincere hope that this album will go to a collector who values the early days of Rock & Roll, its impact to today's culture and the personal satisfaction to know that in his or her collection, is one of the most beautiful records ever produced, both music quality and physical appearance. Good Luck!
