Description

About This Item: Really nice original 1960 deep groove first pressing of "House of Blues" on Chess 1438 silver on black label. One original owner who never lent his recordss out, played them at parties and took the best of care. The vinyl has a couple of very light superficial blemishes only and lots of sheen. Labels are real clean with no writing, no stickers or tears. The cover has some light shelf wear, a beautiful spine, no ringwear, upper and lower seam wear, the upper left and lower right corner have been lightly dinged, the back cover has a bonus writing as well as a few check marks in blue ballpoint pen next to certain songs. We say bonus as it's the signature of Robert Quine(R.I.P. 1942 - 2004) the New York guitarist(the one original owner of this LP) who at the time of purchase in 1962 was a huge Jazz fan but by 1977 the underground music world would get to know and love his unique and innovative playing with Lou Reed, John Zorn, Tom Waits, Marianne Faithful just to name a few. While not Mint it's still a really nice copy of this obscure original 1960 pressing which rarely turn up these days.

Songs Include:
1. Walking Boogie
2. Love Blues
3. Union Station Blues
4. It's My Own Fault
5. Leave My Wife Alone
6. Ramblin' By Myself
7. Sugar Mama
8. Down At The Landing
9. Louise
10. Ground Hog Blues
11. High Priced Woman
12. Women and Money

Thanks for looking and good luck!
