Description

I am parting with some of my treasured LPs.  John Lee Hooker is the guitar god who electrified the Delta Blues, and with that was one of the largest influences on Rock music.  From the moment he recorded Boogie Chillin' in 1948, it would be clear that the guitar would be the instrument of primary importance in electric music.  He certainly has a big discography, and I am offering a nice original copy of Burnin' here.  This LP is from 1962 when he was hanging in Chicago.  The first song on the LP is widely considered among his best, BOOM BOOM.  And even The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame classified that song as one of the 500 songs that shaped Rock and Roll.
This LP is the first Rainbow LABEL pressing # LP-1043  This LP is in VG CONDITION due to a good number of surface marks.  It plays very well, and the music does shine way above the background surface sounds.  The background sounds are pretty consistent sounding.  There are no jumps or skips, and a couple small minor pops.  It plays very well, and the music sounds great.  This is a very rare LP in any condition, and the cover is in great shape, with no seam splits,  but the spine is torn in the middle for about 2".  It's quite a find, and with the original inner as well.

I love original original pressings because I feel every LP is of it's time and place. The vinyl, and record pressings are all from that moment in time, and no re-pressing or re-mastering will ever make the sound better for me.  PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER LPS FOR SALE NOW ON EBAY.  I AM POSTING SOME TREASURES.  SOME ARE RARE AND COLLECTIBLE, AND OTHERS ARE JUST GREAT ALBUMS LIKE THIS ONE IS.
