Given the heavy laminate jacket, we are fairly certain that this LP is a blue and green transitional "Bulls-eye" Atlantic label.  (with a narrow color band around the edge, large white area and smaller color bulls-eye in the middle.)

Jacket / Sleeve: NEAR MINT / SEALED IN LOOSE BAG
No Cut-Outs, No Drill Holes, No wear on the seams or surfaces. STEREO is impressed on the front cover deeply so that you can feel the letters.

THE ONLY imperfection on the jacket is the bottom, right corner: the shrink has worn and there is a **less than 1/8"  speck of wear on the corner and another very small mark on the bottom seam. THAT IS IT! Shrink has opened in a couple other small sections. Color is full and bright with no fading or discoloration, image sharp and clear, laminate intact with no peeling. Back cover retains full sheen and contrast  - A TRULY NEAR PERFECT COVER !

This album needs little introduction, but lets restate the obvious: This LP is THE cornerstone of any Coltrane collection, and certainly is in the top 10 of most important Jazz LP's of all time. Giant Steps is a creative explosion that reverberated and developed for the rest of Coltrane's career.  These compositions and more importantly the revolutionary blowing on them are the genesis of the celestial being that Coltrane would become in albums like 'A Love Supreme' and other holy Impulse titles. Giant Steps is exactly what the title states: the transition of a phenomenal tenorman to one of music's greatest spirits.

This sealed stereo copy is truly an awesome thing to behold - we have never had a sealed original stereo pressing of this LP before - and are sure we will never see one again. This is the first time in the store's 20+ year history that such an item is being offered.
