Description
1973 US Blue Note ?BST 84126 Herbie Hancock MY POINT OF VIEW on the black B against blue labels of the time. Band features Hank Mobley Donald Byrd, Pepper Adams, Tony Williams and Grant Green. It is a killer session. What makes this a good one is it is east coast pressed (made in USA instead of Los Angeles label text) probably Scranton NJ, and has the Van Gelder stamp in the run out grooves. There also exists in far greater numbers California pressings in a different mastering with no RVG stamp of any kind which are inferior. This sounds fantastic, and the surfaces and labels are unmarked. Only fault is an import punch to the one corner, neatly done at least.
