Description
This is the original release of HEAD EAST'S record "Flat as a Pancake" containing the hit single "Never Been Any Reason". It is the very first release from 1974 on Pyramid Records and is 1 of only 5,000 ever produced. Unable to get signed by any major record company, the band funded the recording of this album at a small studio in Illinois. Their intent was to sell this record and a limited number of 8 track tapes at their live shows. "Never Been Any Reason" received a lot of air play on Midwest radio stations and the band gained popularity. They soon signed with A&M Records, who saw fit to repackage the record with new artwork and rearrange the running order of the tracks. They actually flipped the sides of the record prior to a national release in 1975. This record is in good condition. I have not play tested to see if there are any skips. Has some surface scratches, may have a few deeper scratches as well. I cannot ensure there are no skips. Please view all photos and bid accordingly. Please email with any questions.
