HANK MOBLEY QUARTET
Hank Mobley (ts) Horace Silver (p) Doug Watkins (b) Art Blakey (d) Rudy Van Gelder Studio, Hackensack, NJ, March 27, 1955 Original BLUE NOTE TEN INCH Lp pressing, #5066,
Blue & White Label, Double Sided Deep Groove, and with the Lexington Ave address, has the "EAR" ,"9M" & "RVG" stamped in the dead wax, no "INC" no "R" on the label.
FLAT Lip Edge, Made in USA, 1955 The vinyl: is very clean and sounds amazing, only the slightest hint of surface noise as just a hint of static in super quiet areas and between tracks, sounds very close to near mint, NM-. An amazing sounding pressing!
The cover: has light ringwear on the front and on the back paste-on, which is also slightly yellowed. There's light edgewear all around, a beginning (small) split at the bottom opening side, corners slightly rounded. There's a number written on the back in pencil, VG+ (see pictures).
