HANK BALLARD & THE MIDNIGHTS spotlight on Hank Ballard US KING LP Stereo + i/s 740!<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Original US LP with thick card designed US sleeve and the original plain white die-cut inner sleeve, released in 1961 on the KING label. Catalogue number: 740.
Matrix numbers read:
A-Side: KSP – 12-740-A – X3
B-Side: KSP – 12-740-B – X-3
Sleeve/Record: EXCELLENT-/VERY GOOD+ CONDITION (*Plays EXCELLENT)
Sleeve retains a clean solid appearance, displays a small light top left hand side corner knock and some top edge sleeve print edge splits (no noticeable sleeve splits present, but bordering on) hence graded has in EXCELLENT- condition. Sleeve has no rips/tears, no seem splits (top sleeve print edge has splits, as mentioned already), no writing and no sleeve creases. Record comes complete with the original die-cut inner sleeve, some browning with age and a couple of small die-cut edge snags/tears, overall in VERY GOOD condition.
Labels are clean with no visible damage and just a few small light visible spindle hole trail marks on both sides. Playing surfaces and matrix areas retain the full original glossy sheen, overall has a few minimal lightly scattered surface scuff marks, displays nothing immediately noticeable or obvious, mainly small smooth soft, barely visible, feather light type scuffs which only show up/appear when viewed at closely whilst angled under a strong bright light. Record grades visually as VERY GOOD+ condition. *Both sides play EXCELLENT, emits a clean sound with no loud/audible background surface noise crackles/clicks. Does have light touches of low level surface noise in odd/occasional places when played, but leans very much towards minimal.
