Well, this diamond really needs no introduction. I have recently been selling a collection of treasured SEX PISTOLS records through ebay and I saved this one till last.
One of the most sought after and collectable 7" records of all time - 100% genuine original vinyl record. The legendary God Save the Queen by the Sex Pistols b/w No Feelings A&M Records 1977, Cat No. AMS 7284.
The record is in mint unplayed condition. The sleeve has a small crease (aprox 1") where the record was held in it originally along the top edge. (See photo).
Trace back the increase in value since 1977 and this item offers an excellent investment opportunity. Quite possibly one of the rarest records in the world, this is the ultimate Sex Pistols collector's item.
What makes this item even rarer, is that it belongs to small number given to long serving A&M executives, as a 'Golden Goodbye', when Polygram closed down A&M London in 1998.
This is one of only 9 in the world (or 12 in the world depending on who you believe).
It comes with:-
- A signed and dated Polygram headed letter to a named employee (blocked out of photos to protect identity), stating the record as part of A&M's history and as a gift in recognition of this person's efforts at the A&M offices. This letter contains a short hand written message of thanks from the person who signed it. See Photos
- Also supplied is the original A&M brown card mailer including the A&M address label listing the executive's name. (Blocked out of photo to protect identity).
- Included as well is the set of press copies given along with the record at the time, of the groups 'antics' at A&M.
This wonderful piece of rock history was bought several years ago from a reputable vinyl dealer, who had acquired it from the named executive.
I'm not a dealer and I don't know if another set of all 4 of these original extremely rare items has ever been sold, altogether, as they should be.

Since this is such a high value, highly sought after item, P&P must be arranged at the end of the auction, to give the winning bidder the full gambit of available options for carriage and insurance. Rest assured if you want it sent first class recorded (insured upto £35.00, LOL) that can be done. I have had to add the £4.00 charge to the listing because Ebay insist on this, but this is not a definate posting charge.
