Description
Freewheelin' Bob Dylan Vinyl Mono LP Plays Withdrawn Tracks XLP-58717-1A.
This is the original pressing of the LP with four deleted tracks which was supposed to be destroyed. In the standard album sleeve with the revised track selection. Rocks and Gravel and Let Me Die In My Footsteps replace Girl From the North Country and Masters of War on side one. Side two has Gamblin’ Willie’s Dead Man’s Hand and Talkin' John Birch Society Blues instead of Bob Dylan's Dream and Talking World War III Blues. To be clear the labels and sleeve list the revised track listing that we are all familiar with while the record itself plays the removed original songs. Less than twenty of these have surfaced over the last 60 years. This is the grail for any Dylan collector and could likely be the last chance to add it to your collection. Item has some condition issues. The sleeve has seen better days with writing and splitting. Honestly that doesn't really matter though. You could swap out any first run mono sleeve without issue if you're looking to up the presentation. I kind of like the original owners confused scrawling. He obviously knew something was up. Track A1 has a dent that affects play, but I mean we've all heard Blowin' in the Wind. That's not what we're here for. The rest of side one plays without issue. Some surface noise. Side two has a decent scratch that causes a mild pop but no skipping. See pictures for detail.
