What we have here is a super rare LEGIT original funk/soul/disco/whatever you wanna call it 45 by Richard Flowers, under the artist name Flowers. It features the track "For Real (Vocal)" on the A Side, and "For Real (Instrumental)" on the B Side
This came in a collection with many other heavy hitting 45s of this genre (some of them I have listed, maybe you've seen them), and I am told the collection belonged to a radio DJ. None of the records dated newer than about 1980. This is absolutely an original.
This has been play tested and sounds fantastic.
I graded conservatively just to be on the safe side.
Vinyl is great. Side B label has small writing in ballpoint pen (see photos)
Please note however that there is an area of the labels that has been buffed out. I've done some research, and there is a label variation on this release. One version says "An Automatic Production" while another version says "A Collectors Production"
On this copy, I can faintly make out "An Automatic Production" where the label has been buffed out. Now this is just my theory, but I believe the "Automatic Production" to be an earlier press, and when they changed the production company's name they probably buffed out any references to "Automatic Production" on any remaining copies of that earlier pressing.
If not for the issues with the labels, I would easily mark this at EX condition
