FOISTER
Obscure original UK 33rpm LP
AXIS RECORDINGS ARL121 (1970)
The record has the odd little mark and scuff, it plays VERY GOOD. The non laminated sleeve has ring wear to the front and rear, light rubbing at the edges, no damage and is probably not quite VERY GOOD.
A product of the progressive Dartington Hall College, with music by it's Musical Director Tim Moore, this is a rock/folk opera based loosely on the Faust legend.
The recording band on this includes Mark Fry on rhythm guitar and vocals, later to record the legendary "Dreaming With Alice" album. Mark also designed the record cover. Other future noteable musicians on this are; Kit Hain (vocals, bass & percussion), Julian Marshall (Vocals, percussion) and Michael Ormerod (drums).
Generally this is a rock/pop/folk opera style recording of it's time with the best track being the psych/folk "The Three Wheels" written by Ben Grove.
