Many thanks to everyone who has bid on my Elvis auctions in the past. It’s been a while since I offered any Elvis records but I have quite a few Japanese EPs on offer this week so please check them out. Below the product description, you will find some general information about Japanese Elvis EPs which may be useful if you are new to this fascinating area of Elvis collecting.

CP-1147 (May 1965)

Japanese releases don’t come much rarer than this. Elvis Sails EP (CP-1147). The Victor Compact 33 record is mint – just absolutely stunning. The picture sleeve is excellent with just some minor wear around the open edge. There is also a 4-page insert with English transcription of the interviews which is also very nice with just very slight yellowing along one edge. Super-rare item, super-rare condition.

Postage for one EP is as follows:

$4.50 to the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />United States, Canada, the UK and elsewhere in Europe, Australia and NZ, $5.50 to South America

$3.75 to Asia.

If you would like to purchase more than one record, I will combine shipping. This will save you money on shipping. Please e-mail me for rates for more than 1 record.

PAYMENT TERMS: I prefer Paypal but if you’re in the UK, I can accept a personal cheque. If you’d prefer to pay in cash please let me know first. If you wish to pay by any other method, please let me know. It may be possible. However, I’m afraid I can’t accept banker’s drafts – the bank charges too much commission.

About Elvis’ Japanese EPs: Many EPs were released in sleeves that were closer in design to early UK album sleeves because of the fact that you can see where the front and back sides of the cover have been stuck together. EPs packaged in this kind of sleeve usually came with a separate lyric sheet. Other EPs were packaged similar to Japanese 45s, with a company sleeve and a separate picture / lyric insert. The interesting thing about Japanese EPs is that they often come with different artwork to the US releases and many are very difficult to find now even in Japan. This week I have plenty of great and rare Japanese Elvis EPs on eBay. Please check them out.
