Let's try this again. After agreeing to end the auction for a very good offer, the "buyer" has vanished! So we are re-listing it with a low opening bid and a PROMISE to let the auction run to it's conclusion. High bidder will be the proud owner of one of the rarest records on the planet! Who says lightning doesn't strike twice? You are looking at one of only two known examples in the world of Elvis Presley's Moody Blue album in PURPLE SPLASH! The colored Moody Blue albums are some of the rarest and most sought after examples of vintage vinyl out there (blue and black not withstanding). The condition of the vinyl is mint with no flaws of any kind. We are sure this vinyl has never been played, as it retains it's full gloss and shows NO signs of usage such as spindle marks, scuffs etc. The cover is near mint. The only other example of the Purple Splash sold in the early part of 2011 (Google "Elvis purple splash"). Ours is guaranteed to have the original cover as the colored vinyl covers have a small dot sticker in the upper right corner indicating the color of the vinyl inside. This copy actually has TWO dot stickers, one red and one white, as both colors are present in the disc. We are sure that this being a "custom" color, RCA did not have purple stickers for this use. We have decided that such an incredible item should be in the proper Elvis collection / museum, so this rarest example of the Moody Blue pressing will be made available WITH NO RESERVE! Fully insured shipping via the U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail will be free. This item will be open to international bidders, but will not be shipped until PayPal (only) payment has cleared.
