Get a grip, to control your heartbeat.Your fascial expression, indeed your whole body. 

I had a moment like that when I came across this CORKER ! 

Keep cool and smile thats what I did when I bought this ULTIMATE DAVID BOWIE GEM.

From a beautiful woman (hi Mary). Who was a regular at the Beckingham arts lab 

and told me she had lost count how many times she had seen Bowie perform there. Building this collection I have met some really amazing people like Mary who not 

only saw Bowie dozens of times in the late 60s . She had many drinks with him in 

the three tons pub. Her stories were so ordinary they just had to be true. I also had the pleasure of meeting 2 sisters, one who went out with Mick Ronson and said her parents 

loved Mick, what a nice guy, but not his friend, David. Who always seemed to phone looking for Mick but phoned very late at night with no concidderation for anyone else ,

it would anger her dad. You know.... Stories like that, you just know are the truth.

I bought this LP and a few other things from her about 25 years ago. 

I wanted to hear her say, yes Alan, David Bowie gave this record to me , but that simply was not the case. If you look at the inner sleeve you will see its from the Kensington music Library . Disappointingly true. Well not all that disappointing . You can walk to Kensington from Beckingham where Bowie lived in 15 minutes so were in the ballpark 

so to speak. Collecting David Bowie records seldom gets more serious than this.

A test pressing of David`s second LP also called DAVID BOWIE and with a beautiful

ORIGINAL poster/ flyer from one of the most famous David Bowie concerts he ever did.

It was this concert that was the final nail in the coffin for poor old Kenneth Pitt, David`s

first manager and long time father figure and friend.There was confusion over the responsibility for promoting this gig Between Ken Pitt and Bowie`s new ally Calvin 

Mark Lee.Whom if you are as sad as I am, and have looked at the inside of this great sleeve you will read  David Bowie Vocals 12 string acoustic then all the instruments

David plays .... Below that it says Design concept by David Bowie /CML thats Calvin Mark Lee .

Anyway between Lee and Pitt they messed up the promotion and Bowie was FURIOUS.

This gig was attended by so few journalists its impact was lost. Read the passage it states 

Ken Pitt saying "Bowie happened that night, I have never seen him perform so well,either

before or since. Had the press been there everything that happened to him in 72

would have happened in November 69". So a very important document in the story

of David Bowie for the winner of this to frame for his music room wall.

I love the ticket prices 10s 8s and 5s ,thats in the S is for shillings in "old money" 

before decimalisation which came in 1971. I think the 5s would be 25 pennies 

not a lot when pre 71 we had 240 pennies to a pound and not the 100 after 1971!

The poster is about 9 inches by 7 inches so ideal for framing. The sleeve is IMMACULATE. ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN. 

These sleeves are prone to ware because they were never laminated. Many are 

faded by exposure to light not so the case here. Double click the pictures. See the 

colours are still vibrant both inside and outside the gate fold . The spine is IMMACULATE .

The labels are near mint with just a few spindle trails on each side. The vinyl has 

a few hairlines and side one has an unsightly hairline visible if you double click 

the shot with the sleeve stood up. IT HAS NO EFFECT AT ALL ON THE WAY 

THIS BABY PLAYS. It plays SUPERBLY. ALL THE WAY !!! The tiniest amount

of surface noise is only present when your straining to hear it. This plays like the 

real cracker that it is.

I love this LP . I am sad it is going but im embracing the changes in my life.

I get this LP out regularly and I play it and I stare at the sleeve. Colette walks past 

with the phone welded to here ear, and says to whoever (one of her sisters) "Yeah hes

here but his gawping like some tit in a trance at a record and talking to himself ".

Why dosen`t she understand ? She got me into Bowie ! I mean there are female 

collectors , ive met some. There are female experts on the Antique programs . 

I think she has not grasped that there is something great about the rarity of this 

item that bewilders me.I love her, I just dont understand her. If she sees this.

I am dead. I understand that !
