TEXTURED SLEEVE
ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING.
This is an incredibly rare pressing of David Bowie`s TOTAL MASTERPIECE
HUNKY DORY. It is also a beautifully presented record. THIS HAS IT ALL.
Not only is this unbelievably rare it is in many ways, highly unusual .
Firstly look at the front cover . Other than the picture of David.
There is nothing on it ! No LP title, no artists name . Not even an RCA logo.
Nothing.
I HAVE NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE ON ANY DAVID BOWIE SLEEVE !
The sleeve is also textured (front and back) just like the original
UK STOCK copy of THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD. Double click the
pictures I have tried to capture the Textured effect in the pictures .
So it has the textured flip back sleeve and it is in beautiful condition.
Spotlessly clean all around . The only place I can criticize the
ULTRA RARE pressing is the spine. It has a split about an inch long
where the LP has cut through the stock.
Luckily it could be fixed with invisible sellotape , again luckily all the spinal
writings remain clear and undamaged. The original flip back inner lyric sheet
is also present and in EXCELLENT condition.
Look at those beautiful orange RCA labels . These labels are also textured and
there is no spindle trails anywhere to be seen. Evidence of a lack of play.
The thick chunky slab of 1970`s vinyl, I am happy to report is in
MAGNIFICENT condition. I can not even see the slightest mark at all.
NO HAIRLINES . This record looks STUNNING. It plays entirely with
no problems at all. It plays MINT !
It reflects like mirror when tilted towards the light. A lovely lustery sheen that
is a collectors dream ! On top of all that as an LP . This is hard to beat.
One of the fans favourites , and one of the best LP`s ever recorded. Great song,
after great song with no filler at all. I have only ever seen 2 other copies of this
South African original FIRST PRESSING of Hunky Dory so a really rare
chance for you all to add this cracker to the collection.
Bowie collectors both old and new, keep an eye on my auctions over the
next few weeks. I will be selling some of the rarest David Bowie LPs
ever pressed.
