Description
This is a remarkable record recorded by the Great and Mighty Charley Patton also known as the father or the Delta Blues. I've had this record in my collection for nearly ten years and sourced it from a well known, long time collector out of New York. It was originally passed down to the New York collector at a grade of V+ which is too high of a grade for the record. When it came to me it was graded as a strong V and I also stand by that grade. This is definitely the strongest Patton record that I have had the honor of owning and now it is time for me to let another enjoy this fantastic record. Charley and his guitar come through louder than most Paramount pressings. There is definitely some back ground noise but it is not any where near the volume of the performance.
Most collectors do not let these records go up for sale so this is a rather rare opportunity for anyone who has been looking to add a decent copy of Charley Patton to their collection
The record will be packaged very well and place in a smaller box in side a larger box that will both be padded very well. I have yet to have a record break or suffer any damage when they are packaged in this manor.
