Super-rare French pressing in DIFFERENT picture sleeve. You are bidding on the brilliant COCK SPARRER 12” from 1977. This is the very rare and original first French pressing, released on ‘Decca’ records in 1977(catalogue number 78.253). As you know, UK pressings were born in boring black & white sleeve with a group-photo-insert. This extremely hard to find French pressing shows that same group-photo printed on the cover (see scan), 70% on the front and the rest on the back. You can listen to ‘We Love You’, a brilliant Rolling Stones cover version and better than the original, on the A-side and the classic ‘Chip On My Shoulder’ on the flip. As the UK advertising for this single stated ‘FOOTBALL AIN'T THE ONLY THING PLAYED WITH BALLS, here's another!’ The cover is still in excellent condition. the vinyl looks used but still plays excellently.
