At manufacturer’s suggestion, shrink wrap has been removed to prevent warping however it is currently stored in clear resealable outer record sleeve. This album is being sold from the personal collection of the artist and will be autographed upon request. Bob McCarthy was a notable singer/songwriter guitarist in the late 60's and early 70’s, performing at college concerts and Boston/Cambridge area coffeehouses. Released on the Wandra Records label, the album was recorded at Bill Riseman’s Aengus Studios and engineered by Jesse Henderson and Bill Riseman. Cover photo by award-winning photographer, Frank Siteman and art design by British artist, Kerry Hallam. Occasional appearances of second guitar, bongos, violin, dobro, bass and drums, the recording features Andy Pratt, Robin Batteau, Abraham Laboriel and Rick Shlosser on “Working on the Mainline”, a hit in the Boston area. This album is all original material, mainly 6-string acoustic guitar and vocals. Quoting from Variety of his performance at Gerde’s Folk City in 1973, “His work on six-string acoustic guitar stands out. ...McCarthy does one tune in ragtime style and as with the jazz material, seems unhampered by delivering solo stylings usually associated with combos.”
