Please take into consideration that promotional copies, before they ended up in a collection, they were actively being used at a radio station as a demonstration example and this couldn't to one degree or another but affect their condition. If you intend to acquire this copy for the listening purpose only, perhaps the best solution would be to purchase a CD with a great mastering where you'll hear a perfect sound without all the flaws which almost all of the vintage promotional copies have due to being used by DJs during broadcasts. Additionally, some flaws (such as ticks, pops and background noise) of such records might be resolved with a good cleaning, please take this circumstance into consideration when reading the description of the vinyl in our listings. If you're a collector and purchase such copies as an investment then you're on the right path as without any doubts the value of these rare examples increases every year.
It's very hard to find the cover of this promotional issue in such a beautiful Near Mint condition. It doesn't have any ring wear, splits, shelf wear, soiling or writing. All of the edges are in great condition having a minimal amount of scuffing with the intact spine containing a fully readable text. I grade the promotional vinyl as Strong Very Good (even though I'm sure that some sellers would grade it as Very Good Plus). It retains its original factory lacquer but has some light marks and hairlines as well as scuffs from the inner sleeve which is in Near Mint Minus condition and doesn't have any splits. The glossy labels with a "Demonstration Record Not For Sale" print are clean only having some spindle marks. The vinyl sounds great only having some light static. Side 2 has a one inch mark that causes a light series of pops on the third track, but perhaps it will disappear if you change the balance of your tonearm. Most likely, the static and pops also could get reduced or go away if the record was professionally cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine.
