Description
You're bidding on Black Sabbath - The Shining 12" EP.
Side A:
1. The Shining
Side B:
1. Black Moon (the original version from Eternal Idol sessions)
2. Some Kind of Woman (never released)
This promo record was pressed by Vertigo label in 1987 at the time of Eternal Idol album. This is the rariest Black Sabbath item you can ever come across at. The "Black Moon" version is the original one and is different from that on "Headless Cross" album. "Some Kind of Woman" has never been released and can only be found on this The Shining 12".
I'd like to mention that there are some bootlegs floating around with both songs. But the recording quality on those bootlegs is very poor due to the apparent bad condition of the source record, horrible turntable equipment plus not a first generation CD copy (more like record->cassette->CD copy). Now this record is in excellent condition. I never played Side A. I only played Side B twice to record the songs on a CDR for myself on my high end turntable. The previous owner I bought it from had played this record not more than 2 times since he bought it sealed in shrink wrap. For vinyl audiophiles: there are only 2 - 3 very tiny bearly hearable vinyl clicks on the entire Side B here and there that can only be heard if you use expensive high end cartridges like I do! Just for your curiosity these are the short 15 and 45 second samples respectively of how these songs are supposed to sound. Hear for yourself and feel free to compare these samples to a crappy quality bootleg some of you might have.
