Description
This is album is considered one of the best live jazz albums of all time and paved the way for the modern approach to improvisation. It features great playing of Bassist Scott LaFaro, who died ten days after the recording. Recorded on June 25, 1961, Sunday at the Village Vanguard set new limits for the piano trio. Drummer Paul Motian and bassist Scott LaFaro accompany the masterful and introspective Bill Evans, and this album marks the last performance of this particular ensemble.
