THE COVER: 

Beautiful AND Rare Scranton #3 Cover with 1st State Appearance! 

  The colors on this butcher are pure, sweet, and bold.   As with virtually all of our butchers, the pictures below allow you to see the incredible fine dot matrix texture of the original butcher slick that has been exposed.  This only happens with a properly peeled butcher.  Look at the detail on the baby doll's head, and the finite detail of that dot matrix printing!  NOT ONE SINGLE SPOT HAS BEEN TOUCHED UP ON THIS BUTCHER!  The detail is stunning.

The seams are in near perfect physical shape without any  splits or cracks!  This is highly unusual to find butchers with seams that are not cracked or split. The printing on the spine is clean and legible and looks new. The edges of the slick are a brilliant clean white.  You just don't get this very often on a butcher as most being sold on ebay are really yellowed.   The overall brightness of the edges frame the stunning blue and gray hues of this slick beautifully.  The fleshtones of the faces, dolls, and meat are vivid and look real! 

There is no writing or ringwear on this cover! I have really gotten picky about the butchers I select for peel.  I know what to look for in an investment grade peice, and they are getting hard to find.  THE BACK OF THIS BUTCHER IS A NICE  CLEAN WHITE. All of the printing on the back of the cover is crisp and clean.  There is just one spot where some paper was lightly lifted.  If there is any touch up, we will inform the customer, and there is none on this butcher.   Just a beautiful cover!

Please be aware that every butcher is like a diamond - rarely are two ever remotely alike in all the investment features they offer.   RARELY have we ever had a perfect butcher.  Each cover has its strengths and weaknesses.  I strive to keep the latter at a minimum.  I can tell you butchers of this quality are hard to come by!  This is an outstanding offering.
