Description

This is the jewel in the crown of my record collection, and true Beatles collectors will understand why.

This is the extremely rare UK EXPORT Yellow Submarine on ODEON, it has the all important GOLD ODEON sticker on the back and the PPCS 7070 catalogue number.

This is possibly THE rarest Beatles album produced in the UK it is much rarer than the famous Black and Gold "Please Please Me" in any condition let alone as good as this.  I have never seen one come up on ebay before and I know of only one other that was sold privately and was not in as good a condition as this one is.

This may be your only chance of adding this record to your collection so don't let it pass you by there is a reasonable reserve and a very low starting price, and who knows it may even make an ideal Christmas present!

Condition

Please note that I believe I grade my records quite harshly and don't believe in passing them off in a better state than they are I will highlight any marks/defects I can find.  I am not a dealer or into the hard sell, all of these records are from my own personal collection that I have built up over many years and that circumstance is forcing me to sell.

Now onto the album!

Cover

Front

The front cover still retains its sheen very well, it has a crease to the bottom right hand corner and a small mark at the top, apart from that it is quite clean.

Rear

The rear cover has a mark in the top right hand corner where what appears to have been a label was once stuck over the catalogue number, there is also some light scuffing near the yellow submarine.  Finally the all important gold ODEON sticker is attached to the bottom left corner.  This is slightly creased on the right hand edge.

Edges and corners are clean, no spine break the right hand edge where the record is inserted is slightly worn but is comensurate with its age and usage.

Overall I would rate the sleeve to be VG to VG+

The record itself

Side 1

Several scratches to the vinyl, none of which should affect play.

The labels are silver and very clear although there are several marks in the spindle area.  Catalogue number is clean and clear PPCS 7070. The matrix number is YEX 715-1

I would rate this side to be VG+

Side 2

Again has several scratches there is a mark at the end of track one which would may affect play, it may be possible to remove this with cleaning as I never clean/stem etc. my records.

The labels are again silver and very clear there is more wear near the spindle and a mark under the D.  Again catalogue number is clean and clear PPCS 7070. The matrix number is YX 716-1

Overall I would rate this side to be VG- possibly VG if the mark on track one is cleanable it would get a VG +
