Description

Firstly let me say that this is a genuine original 1st issue Demark released album from April 1965, it is not one of the counterfeit reissues from recent times.

It is the Beatles HOTTEST HITS album with famous ESKIMO sleeve catalogue number PMCS 306.

Only released in Mono and so I'm aware in limited quantities only in 1965.

The album was also released in Sweden with the same cat.no. but in a sleeve not disimilar to the US record "Something New".

So this is the ultra rare Hottest Hits with the Eskimo sleeve, possibly in the top 5 of rare world Beatle albums.

Description;

Record;

Both surfaces still retain their deep sheen and display some whispy hairlines from removing the record from the sleeve, I have just replayed both sides or the record and all I can hear apart from pure Beatlemania is some crackle in the quietest moments that is all. There are no skips/jumps or sticking/repeats whatsoever. The labels have no flaws just a few spider marks around the centre hole, all print is completely legible and the silver print is in brilliant condition. A lovely record.

Cover;

The front laminated panel retains its deep colours with no dulling or fading at all. The only slight flaw is part of the opening edge which is a little worn due to handling and the removal of the record, I have tried to photograph this. There is a tiny amount of laminate lift in the corners due to some slight bumping from storage but I am being critical here. Incidently the front cover photograph was taken backstage at the Hammersmith Odeon after their last Christmas pantomine performance in December 1964. The rear panel of the sleeve is constructed like the 1960's UK issues with 3 flipbacks. These are all intact with nothing missing and there are no seam splits. The opening edge is a tad grubby but this may erase with a pencil rubber.

Overall a very very nice package difficult to find now in this condition.

INT. P+P = £4.00 + Registered del. if req'd.
