Complete & original 1st US stereo pressing of Yesterday & Today by The Beatles. This is a '2nd state' withdrawn Butcher cover with Trunk slick paste over. This can be identified by the v-shape of Ringo's black turtleneck under white butcher's coat that is partially visible on the right hand side of the front sleeve, through the pasted over trunk slick. This particular cover was printed at the Scranton plant - identifiable by the small number '2' in the bottom right corner of the back of the sleeve. The Scranton plant Butcher cover paste overs were done with a water-based glue that makes them easier to peel and turn into a '3rd state' Butchers sleeve with the original cover design revealed - should you choose to do so! Covers pated over at the Los Angeles plant were done using an alcohol based glue and are notoriously difficult the peel. Of course left as-is this is an outstanding condition collectors item and curious part of The Beatles history.

Outstanding condition! A completely unpeeled 2nd state Butcher cover with Trunk slick pasted over. The front is in immaculate condition, bright, clean, no stains, no marks, no wear, strong sharp edges and corners. The trunk slick is completely unpeeled. The spine is clean, wear-free and super sharp all the way to the corners. The top and bottom edges have some very light signs of flaking. The back is completely wear-free with light discolouration towards the edges, EXCELLENT PLUS! The vinyl is in top condition, super-glossy, no marks, no wear, no hairlines visible in both daylight and under a strong direct halogen spotlight. The disc is completely flat with no warping, NEAR MINT! The labels are clean, and unworn with zero spindle markings, NEAR MINT! The disc plays beautifully with no crackle, no loud obtrusive pops, no repeat clicks, and of course no skips, NEAR MINT! The original advertising inner sleeve is EXCELLENT! This is a collectors condition collectors piece in fantastic condition, an "easy-peeler" should you choose to do so!

*PLEASE NOTE* There is a small smudge mark showing on the sleeve in pictures 1, 2 & 4 in the bottom right that must be some dirt on the camera lens as there is no smudge/soft mark on the sleeve at all. It is completely clean. Thank you.
